Hundred Volunteers
Between fifty and a hundred volunteers are crowded here placing sandbags to defend an eastern campus building not more than two blocks from the rising river.
Kirkwood and Dubuque
Floodwaters have claimed the intersection of Kirkwood and Dubuque, and are not far from being able to shut down Gilbert, a critical link to Highway 6 and south Iowa City.
