2008 Presidents Block Party

The party exploded with people right as the 4 to 7 party started, with people strolling to the block looking for music, free food, and the chance to win some cool prizes. Things officially began when Sally Mason was introduced around 4:30, starting the President's Block Party.

Prize drawings began at 4:45 with a 19" television, an IPOD shuffle, $100 community gift card, and some football tickets. Later prizes included a Nintendo Wii and dinner for five at the President's Residence. By 5pm there were at least 2500 people hanging around, likely hoping for some small miracle by winning one of the prizes.
